This week has been a very busy week in Room 14. We have done all sorts of things. We are writing stories using lots of descriptive words. We have been learning to tell the time in Maths as well.

We went to the Parnell Baths and this week was Kayak and Boat Safety week. We had lots of fun falling out of the kayaks and boats, and then we tried to sink them. That was really hard.

Room 14 have also been going to lots of Music Performances. This is because we are having Music focus for the next two weeks.

So far we have seen Japanese drumming, African drumming, Dom's Weird and Wonderful Instruments,  a Chinese Orchestra, a Celtic Concert, Room 16 playing the Ukulele and Room 1 and Room 8 playing the xylophones! They were all very exciting and we cant wait to do our own performance. We liked the performances that other classes did. They all sound really wonderful.

This was some of the African drumming.

This is Dom with his Weird and Wonderful instruments.

On Friday there was a surprise waiting for us in our room, from Room 13. They had been too busy to play a game with us but when we got back from the computers they had opened up the doors in between our classroom and they were in a circle waiting for us to make a donut circle.

We each had a buddy from the other class and we drew pictures of good people and bad people. We found out that we couldn't tell if someone was good or bad from what they look like we have to tell from what they are doing. It was really fun working with the other class. We hope we can do it some more.

What a busy week, we also had Mufti day, sausage sizzle and a fire alarm! We hope next week is just as exciting. We start our Music workshops with Dom, we can't wait!
