Welcome to Week 3 in Room 14. Time is really flying, already we have been back for 3 whole weeks after the holidays - and they have been three very busy weeks!
Last week we told you about Liam's broken arm, well this week he has a partner in crime! Ben has a cast on his arm as well from a fractured wrist. This means we have had some very observant judges during fitness games thanks to them being on the sidelines!
Today we have to wish Benny a very happy birthday! We hope you have a great day Ben!
We are a little bit sad in Room 14 this week because it is Chloe's last full week with us.
Next Tuesday is her last day with us in the classroom and then she is going to her new school in Milford. We will all miss her a lot but we know that it will be an exciting new adventure for Chloe and her family, and we will still be able to see her as she will just be over the bridge!
In Maths this week we have been learning a bit more about Algebra. Miss Huke said this was one of her favourite parts of Maths, because it involves patterns and puzzles. Today we had a go at working out the rule for each pattern or puzzle and seeing if we could carry it on ourselves. Thanks to Taimana and Chloe for the pictures of their work.
Our Topic work is getting really fun at the moment, with lots of excitement coming up. Once we get all the boxes and bits of plastic and extras from home, thanks to those who have already brought it in, we will be able to create our very own Deep Ocean Explorers. We are also going on a trip to Kelly Tarlton's! We can't wait!
Our information reports are coming along nicely during writing time. This week we wrote a report about our own homes. It included different paragraphs about what the house looks like, who lives in it, the different rooms and special rules we have in our houses. We found that some people have really interesting rules in their house, and some people don't have any!
During Reading time we have been practising something a little bit special, but we think we will keep that a bit of a surprise for now! Perhaps we will tell you all about it next week. You will hear from us then!
Sorry to see that Ben didn't learn from Liam's lesson. Good luck getting better and getting the cast off.
