Music Focus

At the end of Term 1, we had two weeks of Music Focus. In Room 16, we learnt percussion with Steve.

We learnt about semi-breve (4 beats), crotchet (1 beat), minim (2 beats), quaver (1/2 beat), semi-quaver (1/4 beat) and dotted minim (3 beats). We used phrases like "pepper pig", "salt" and "biscuit tin" to help us count the beats.

Some of the instruments we've played were the drum kit, triangles, shakers, bells, claves and chimes.

On the last Thursday of the term, we performed the song, "Wild Thing" to the whole school.
