Explode!

We are learning how to give instructions through procedural writing. Yesterday, we created a rocket with a film canister and half of an alka-seltzer tablet.

Today we tried to create a vinegar bomb by using warm water, baking soda, vinegar and a zip-lock bag. We failed three times before our experiment succeeded!

The following things helped to make our experiment successful:
-We put more baking soda
-We made sure the bag was sealed tightly
-We used a smaller and a lower quality zip-lock bag
-We shook the bag to help speed up the chemical reaction
-We used less tissue paper

Come into our class and we'll teach you how to make the vinegar bombs!
